One way is to implement agricultural practices that are more efficient in water use, such as drip irrigation and the use of drought-resistant plant varieties. In addition, sustainable water resources management must be implemented. Conservation and wise land management can help store water reserves and reduce the risk of soil erosion. Education about climate change and its impact on food is also key. The public needs to be given correct information about how to adapt to uncertain conditions. For example, farming communities could be involved in training programs that focus on sustainable farming techniques and the efficient use of new technologies. Food sustainability is also closely related to government policies in managing natural resources. Investment in irrigation infrastructure, as well as research and development of agricultural technology, should be a priority. International cooperation is also urgently needed to share knowledge and resources in facing the global drought challenge. Drought not only impacts agricultural products, but also affects public health. Poor quality food due to declining harvest yields will lead to nutritional problems. Apart from that, soaring food prices due to scarcity can increase the economic burden on society, especially in developing countries. This creates a cycle of poverty that is difficult to break.
